About Jenny
My journey into movement and wellness began in a gym in Chengdu, where I discovered yoga as a way to manage the stress of university life. What started as an escape soon became a transformative practice—helping me improve my focus, regulate my emotions, and build a healthier relationship with both my body and mind. That experience shaped the philosophy I still carry today: true health is about moving well, feeling strong, and living with confidence.
I've always been fascinated by health and human movement. After completing my Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Master of Biotechnology at Monash University, I realised that while scientific research was meaningful, I wanted to work directly with people and witness their progress firsthand. In 2019, I became a certified personal trainer and began coaching clients to improve their strength, health, and confidence.
Working at Snap Fitness after the 2020 lockdowns, I saw how movement could transform not only physical health but also mental well-being. One client in particular inspired me to explore yoga more deeply after experiencing remarkable improvements in both his physical tension and emotional resilience. That experience led me to complete my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali and begin teaching yoga alongside strength coaching.
As my coaching experience grew, so did my understanding that every body is different. Clients weren't simply looking for workouts—they needed personalised guidance to overcome pain, improve posture, build strength, prepare for pregnancy, or simply move more comfortably in everyday life. This led me to complete the internationally recognised Polestar Comprehensive Studio Pilates Certification, allowing me to integrate the full Pilates apparatus into an evidence-informed coaching approach.
Today, FoodieFitness offers three core services:
Private Pilates & Strength Coaching – Personalised 1:1 sessions combining Pilates, functional strength training and movement education to help you reduce pain, improve posture, build strength and achieve your individual goals.
Semi-Private Pilates – Small groups of up to four clients, each following their own personalised program under close supervision using a full range of Pilates equipment.
Small Group Yoga – Welcoming classes designed to improve mobility, flexibility, balance and mindfulness in a supportive environment.
Private & semi-private services begin with a detailed movement assessment because I believe effective coaching starts with understanding how you move—not simply prescribing exercises. Whether your goal is recovering from pain, building strength, improving posture, supporting pregnancy, or simply feeling better in your body, every program is tailored to your individual needs.
My approach combines scientific knowledge, movement expertise, and compassionate coaching. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all exercise. I believe in helping you build a stronger, healthier body that supports the life you want to live.
I'm looking forward to helping you move better, get stronger, and feel your best.
