Personal trainer and Yoga teacher in clayton South, VIC 3169

Hi, I’m Jenny 👋

I’m a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer and Yoga Teacher based in Clayton South, Melbourne.

My approach to movement has been shaped by a combination of science, strength training, yoga and Pilates — but above all, by years of working with real people who often simply want to feel stronger, move better and feel more confident in their bodies.

I believe exercise doesn’t need to be intimidating, and you don’t need to be flexible, strong or “good at Pilates” before you start.

You just need the right place to begin.

From Science to Movement

My background actually began in science. I completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science followed by a Master of Biotechnology at Monash University, and previously worked in research at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute.

My own interest in training eventually led me in a different direction.

I became a qualified Personal Trainer, explored strength and physique training, and later expanded into yoga and Pilates. The more I learned, the more interested I became not just in how hard we can train, but in how well we move.

That curiosity eventually led me to complete the Polestar Comprehensive Studio Pilates training, working across the full Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector.

My Training Philosophy

I don’t believe there is one “perfect posture”, or that everyone should follow exactly the same exercise program.

Instead, I look at how you move as an individual — your mobility, strength, coordination, breathing, movement habits and goals — and build your training from there.

My philosophy is simple:

Move well. Get strong. Build a body you understand and trust.

Pilates helps us develop movement quality, body awareness, mobility and control.

Strength training helps us build capacity, resilience and confidence.

Together, they create a well-rounded approach to movement that can continue progressing with you.

A Beginner-Friendly Place to Start

Many of the people I work with are complete beginners.

You might have never tried Pilates before. You might feel uncomfortable walking into a large gym or group class. Or perhaps you've exercised before but still aren't sure what your body actually needs.

That's completely okay.

At FoodieFitness Movement Lab, sessions are kept private or intentionally small, so you have time to learn the equipment, understand the movements and progress at a pace appropriate for you.

My Clayton South studio is equipped with the full Pilates apparatus, allowing us to adapt exercises to different bodies and ability levels rather than expecting everyone to fit the same workout.

How I Can Help

My coaching is particularly suited to people looking to:

  • Start Pilates or exercise for the first time

  • Improve posture, mobility and body awareness

  • Build core and whole-body strength

  • Develop better movement control and confidence
