MEET YOUR TEACHERS
Jenny – Your Guide to Transformation
Jenny is a Chengdu local with a playful spirit and a deep love for yoga. As your host and yoga guide, she’s excited to share the magic of her hometown and the joy of yoga with friends around the world.
Her yoga journey began over a decade ago, and it’s been her greatest teacher ever since. Yoga has helped her recover from stiffness, find balance in chaos, and reconnect with what truly matters—herself, the people around her, and the world we live in.
A few years ago, Jenny attended a yoga retreat in Bali, and while it was beautiful, she couldn’t help but think: “Chengdu is even more stunning in its own way—why not share it with the world?” From the serene forests and rivers of Sandao Yan to the vibrant culture and mouthwatering Sichuan cuisine, Chengdu has so much more to offer.
This retreat is Jenny’s way of inviting you to experience the beauty of Chengdu and the transformative power of yoga. Whether you’re here to explore, relax, or simply take a break from the hustle of life, she’s thrilled to guide you on this journey. Let’s reconnect with ourselves and the world—one breath at a time.
Raja – Master of Traditional Yoga
Joining us is Raja, a world-renowned yoga master from India with over 35 years of practice and 22 years of global teaching experience. Fluent in Hindi, English, and Chinese, Raja brings a wealth of knowledge in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Raja Yoga. His teachings are rooted in tradition yet tailored to modern practitioners, making him a true bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary life.
Special Guest Teachers…
We’re also excited to welcome special guest teachers who will share their unique expertise, from breathing exercises to meditation, to enrich your retreat experience.
What’s more?
Explore Chengdu’s rich culture, from ancient towns to adorable pandas, and savor the bold flavors of local street food. This retreat blends yoga, nature, and wellness for a truly transformative journey.
As a special highlight, the last day of the retreat (May 31st) coincides with the Dragon Boat Festival! We’ll celebrate this vibrant tradition together at Sandao Yan, where you’ll experience the festival’s lively atmosphere, enjoy traditional activities, and immerse yourself in the local culture. It’s the perfect way to conclude your retreat with joy, connection, and a deeper appreciation for Chinese heritage.
